Uniform Requirements

We like to keep things simple and consistent so everyone feels part of the team in class.

Trial Classes

If you're joining us for a trial class, there's no need to purchase a uniform beforehand. Students are welcome to wear:

• Any plain-coloured leotard or t-shirt

• Comfortable shorts or a skirt

Students may participate in bare feet. Please note that socks can be slippery and are not recommended for safety reasons.

Ballet Uniform

Uniform items are available through our friends at Dancers Wardrobe (Shop 4/179 Manukau Road, Epsom). Students are asked to wear:

• Jess Leotard – Ballet Pink

• Emily Skirt – Ballet Pink

• Ballet Socks

• Ballet Shoes

Optional Extras

These items are completely optional but can be lovely for added comfort and warmth:

• Tights

• Cross-over Warm-Up Cardigan – Ballet Pink

• First Position Ballet Academy T-Shirt

Boys' Uniform

Boys are asked to wear:

• Jesse Leotard or Joshua Tee – White

• White Ballet Socks

• White Ballet Shoes

These items are available from The Dancers Wardrobe.

Boys also wear navy ballet shorts. Please contact Jess for more information about boys' shorts.

First Position Ballet Academy T-Shirt

Our academy t-shirt is a fun extra and a great way to feel part of the school community. It's not part of the in-class uniform.

• Made from high-quality AS Colour fabric

• Colour: Charity Pink

• Available directly through Jess

Preschool Classes

There is no set uniform for our preschool classes. Dancers can wear any comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement. Dancewear and ballet shoes are welcome but not required.

If your dancer doesn't yet have ballet shoes, bare feet are best, as socks can be slippery.
